Arnold has a leak
Not in this page. In the garage, right now: the driveshafts are leaking and the gearbox will probably have to come out. That is where this came from — if a camper is going to lose oil anyway, let it draw something with it.
What he is
An Arnold RM 30 from 1984: a German-built motorhome on a Fiat Ducato chassis, with a 2.5 litre four-cylinder diesel of around 72 hp and a five-speed box. The Ducato was the camper base of the eighties and never stopped being one — roughly two thirds of the motorhomes in Europe stand on one.
Arnold sold the RM 30 on its body: an integral shell of seamless polyester, built so that it practically rules out leaks. Forty years on, the body has kept its word. It is underneath where he lets go.
