Twelve pieces of furniture, drawn from the side at the room they really take. The room a thing takes up is solid — that is what stacks — and the legs, the daylight underneath and the cushions are drawn on top of it. Three keep their shape because the shape is the furniture: a chair, a corner sofa and a chaise. A full row is carried out of the well straight through whatever was standing in it, so what is left drops past its own other half. Seats are the score: a corner sofa seats four, a bench and a sofa three, a bed two, a table none at all — and clearing more than one row at a time counts double, treble, four times.
